Wall Street Poet
Michael Silverstein's
Satirical Verse

How might a bunch of mid-term races that were expected to be close, but nonetheless projected to go Democratic, end up in the Republican column?

Diebold!

If polling numbers make you wince
And all your lies no more convince
Diebold!

In races where the margin’s slim
There’s still a way a win to skim
Diebold!

When voters from you mostly flee
Some folks look toward technology
Diebold!

Insert a small computer glitch
Then watch those voting numbers switch
Diebold!

Be sure to loudly rant and rail
Against a silly paper trail
Diebold!

Expectations you’ll dismember
Surprise the pundits this November
Diebold!

You don’t have to be too clever
Just retool the counting lever
Diebold!
